BU-133C Jungmeister

History

This is the most original vintage aircraft that Bygone Aviation has worked on to date. The aircraft was built in 1937 at Rangsdorf and exported to Brazil as a factory demonstrator. It survived the war and following years in the hands of the Brazilian Military. It has been flown on several historic flights including across the Andes Mountains!

The aircraft then went to the United States for a while before being imported into the UK. The aircraft was put on the register and flown for a short while before being crashed in Cambridgshire. After this accident the aircraft was reconstructed but never really flown and has stood dormant for number of years.

The aircraft was delivered by road to our facilities in December 2007 and a full ground up restoration is to be undertaken. More pictures will follow as this exciting project develops.
